Privacy policy

1. Who processes your data

The controller of personal data is Rocket Science Engineering sp. z o.o., registered office at ul. Wały Piastowskie 1 lok. 1508, 80-855 Gdańsk, Poland, KRS 0001236689, NIP 5833566739 (“RSE”).

For anything concerning personal data, write to contact@rocketseng.com or to the registered address. We have not appointed a data protection officer.

2. What data we process and why

Contact and business cooperation. If you write to us or represent one of our business partners, we process your name, e-mail address, phone number, position, the name of the entity you represent and the content of the correspondence. We do this to answer your message, hold commercial discussions, and conclude and perform contracts. The legal bases are art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (a contract and steps taken before entering into it) and art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in ordinary business communication). We usually receive the data of designated contact persons from their employer or from public sources such as the KRS register and partners' websites.

Settlements. We process data from invoices and accounting documents to meet tax and accounting obligations - art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Claims. We may also process data to establish, pursue or defend claims - art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Providing data is voluntary, but without contact details we cannot reply, and without the data required by law we cannot issue accounting documents.

3. Visiting the website

rocketseng.com is a static informational website. We store no cookies, use no analytics or tracking tools, embed no third-party content and carry out no profiling. We therefore do not ask for cookie consent and display no banner.

The site runs with an external hosting provider. Like any web server, its infrastructure records technical connection data: the IP address, the time of the request, the browser type and the address of the requested resource. We have no access to those logs and do not analyse them.

4. Who we share data with

Data reaches only those who provide services to us and are bound to confidentiality: our website hosting provider, our e-mail provider, our accounting firm, and law firms and advisers. We do not sell data and do not share it with anyone for marketing purposes.

We also disclose data to public authorities - courts, tax authorities, law enforcement - where the law requires it.

If you want to know the specific entities we pass your data to, write to contact@rocketseng.com and we will name them.

5. Transfers outside the EEA

Some of our providers are established outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. We transfer data to them under a European Commission decision finding an adequate level of protection (art. 45 GDPR) or, where no such decision applies, under the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). A copy of the safeguards applied is available on request.

6. How long we keep data

Correspondence unrelated to a contract - up to 3 years from the last contact. Contract-related data - for the term of the contract and until claims arising from it become time-barred. Accounting and tax documents - 5 years from the end of the year in which the tax payment deadline fell. Data processed on the basis of legitimate interest - until an objection is upheld or that interest ceases.

7. Your rights

You have the right to request access to your data and a copy of it, to have it rectified, erased or its processing restricted, and the right to data portability. You may object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation, and to direct marketing without giving reasons. Where we process data on the basis of consent, you may withdraw it at any time, which does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Requests are accepted at contact@rocketseng.com and we respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, Poland.

We take no decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that would produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.

8. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the way we process data changes or when the law changes. The current version is always available at rocketseng.com/en/privacy, and the date it applies from is shown at the top.

This is a translation of the Polish policy at rocketseng.com/pl/privacy. In case of any discrepancy, the Polish version prevails.
